We lived in South Lake for eight years. Never really had a problem with maintenance or the apartment in general. One year our HVAC unit went out, but it was promptly replaced when maintenance was alerted to the problem. Location puts it nearby most places of interest in Virginia Beach while far enough from the ocean front that you rarely see a vacationer during peak seasons. ~ R.M.
